The 2017 Yearbook will be distributed in front of the Career Center at lunch this week.  Copies are still available for sale at $85.  Make checks payable to slohs asb/yearbook and drop-off to Mr. Nairne in room 505.

Attention 11th Grade Students the SBAC ELA exam is Today and the SBAC Math exam is Tomorrow.  You received a notification letter from your 2nd period teacher yesterday informing you of your exam location, time and date. This information will also be posted outside of the Counseling and Attendance offices.  The ELA exam requires the use of headphones.  You may bring and use your own headphones/earbuds during this section of the exam.This exam is very important for your future as well as our school.

Auditions for next year’s Improv Team are Today in the Theatre at lunch.  We will teach you Improv games and give you a chance to try all of the crazy things we do.  We need funny, flexible, fearless new members.  So come out and give it a try.

Attention ALL prospective AP European History students:  Today there is a mandatory meeting after school in the Theatre. You must attend EITHER meeting in order to be admitted into the class for next year. Information about the class requirements and Summer assignments will be shared.  Reminder notices will be sent out to your second period class next week.  See Ms. Stephens in Room 128 with questions.

The Spring & End of the Year Athletics Awards Ceremony is Today at 6 pm in the New Gym.


Have you ever looked into the sun and asked how come it’s dark?  If so, come to Astronomy Club in Mr. Ritchie’s room (108) on Thursday, May 25th, at lunch.

REACH Club will meet in room 206 at lunch on Thursday.  NOTE new location!

Come check out what FCCLA has in store at their lunch meetings every Thursday in room 513!  Lunch and lots of fun is provided.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meets on Thursdays at lunch in Mr. Meinert’s room (501).  Join us with friends for fun, food, and more.


Friday, May 26th, is Patriot Day.  Dress in Red White and Blue and you will receive a ticket before school by the tree for a free barbeque lunch.  You MUST have all three colors to qualify for a free BBQ lunch.  There will be several lunchtime activities including a watermelon eating contest, cornhole and more. Show your stripes!

Seniors, permission slips for the Senior Picnic are due Friday, May 26th, to the ASB box located outside of the ASB room (130).  The picnic is on Wednesday June 7th.

There is a Boys Water Polo meeting this Friday, May 26th, at lunch in Room 500.

The SLO High Dance Team is holding auditions Tuesday, May 30th, and Wednesday, May 31st, from 3:30-4:30pm.  All interested dancers should pick up an audition packet from the Receptionist’s Desk in the Counseling office.  

May is Bike month!  Ride your bike throughout the month to be entered in raffles to win prizes!  The prizes, from Art’s Cyclery and Cambria Bike Outfitters, include: bike locks, water bottles, bike bells, a basket, and much more!

All SLOHS students are invited to the last “Finals Study Night” of the year in the library on Monday, June 5th, from 6:30-9:00 PM. Meet up with friends and study groups while enjoying snacks, drinks and dedicated study time for Finals. See you there!

ATTENTION Graduating Seniors!  You must request your FINAL transcript to be sent to the college you will be attending in the Fall.  Request forms can be found outside the ASB office or at the Records office/window (in Counseling).  There is a $1.00 fee for ALL transcripts requested.  Payment must be received with your request.  Please submit your requests to the Records Office before or after school (until 4:00pm), at nutrition break or at lunch ONLY!



Memorial Day Jam to benefit Disabled Veterans Monday, May 29th, at Avila Beach Golf Resort   Outdoor concert. All sorts of help needed, including setup and clean-up. Lunch, t-shirt, parking, and concert included. Email Sabrina Jenkins at sabrina.jenkins@glplus.org  Enjoy a day of music on the beach while getting some volunteer hours!
