THIS WEEK:
¨ There are lots of celebrations this week with our Skills USA students excelling in the State competition. Tyler Drysdale won a
Gold medal in Computer Maintenance. Austin Wright won the bronze medal in Computer Programming. In the Automotive
Service Technology competition, Kelly Ziegler won the gold medal & Kevin Husten won the silver medal. In Metal Fabrica-
tion (team event) Will Kraemer, Kevin Greer, Kent Murphy won the gold medal. In Introductory Drafting & Technical Drafting,
Ross Warden & Nigel Goodison took bronze. With the amazing support of their teachers Jan Fetcho, Tim Fay, Jeff
Lehmkuhl & Jed Bruington several of our students will represent SLOHS at the National Championships this summer in Kan-
sas. Well done to all!

¨ Thank you to parents & families who attended our Choir performance at Mission Del Rosa.

¨ Our Girls’ Golf team accepted their CIF Academic Team Champion Award and a check for $500 during a presentation at
Anaheim Stadium this week. Congratulations to all the players and coaches. Go Tigers!

¨ At the PAC Grove Invitational, Andrew Toh, Nate Greenelsh, Cole Bradley & Pricer Hitchcock ran the Boys 4×100 in 43.13
seconds, breaking a school record and winning the race. Cassidy Block, Emma Hollister, Lexi Johnson & Kelly McGuire
ran the Girls 4×100 in 49.39 seconds and also took first place. In the long jump, Elizabeth Wiley went 16 feet, 2.75 inches for
the Tigers, winning the event.

¨ Congratulations to Josh Milla & Mason Hansen for a great showing at the Ojai Tennis Invitational. Congratulations to Boys
Tennis for clinching the PAC 7 team title. SLO will be hosting the PAC individual tennis championships next Thursday and Fri-
day.

¨ The AP Statistics students won first place in the team division and each won awards for their individual scores in the recent
competition in Bakersfield: Elise Gubbins (1st overall) Stephanie Freeman (2nd) Sam Pal (3rd )and Devon Ramsey (4th).
Thank you Mrs. Elefant, Mr. Meinert and Mr. Bristol for taking our math students to the event.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

¨ InfoSnap Portal opened on May 1st for all incoming 9th grade & currently enrolled SLOHS students. Please look for an infor-

mational letter in the mail for more information. Completion of this process is required by all SLOHS parents/guardians so that
their students may receive their class schedule on August 18th (All Student Orientation Day).
NEXT WEEK ( May 5th—9th) TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

¨ We are blessed to have such amazing teachers at our school. Please give them extra special praise next week for the wonder-
ful job they do with our students.

¨ Advancement Placements EXAMS will begin Monday morning and continue for 2 weeks. Good job & good luck!

¨ Friday: “Legally Blonde: The Musical” Show dates are: May 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th, 17th with curtain call @ 7PM, & Sunday,
May 11th at 1:00PM. Tickets are $6 for students/ $8 general admission; faculty and staff are free.

¨ Friday: Summer School Sign-Ups are due NO LATER THAN Friday, May 9th. Please contact your child’s Counselor if
you’d like to sign up! Summer School is first-come, first-served…be sure to sign up ASAP!!

¨ ASB Class Officer Elections are beginning. Students must submit their completed election packet by May 8th.
