Coach Peterson

Varsity Assistant Coach - 2023-Present

Coach Peterson is in his 2nd year coaching for the Tigers. Before coaching for the Tigers, Coach Peterson swam for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo a Division 1 school. He also competed high school at San Luis Obispo High School. Coach Peterson has experience coaching college at Cal Poly and coaching club for the Seahawks in SLO.

Coach Nance

Junior Varsity Men's Swim Head Coach - 2024-Present

Janeil Nance, formally known as Ja-Neil Bragg during her swimming career, swam competitively in the Pacific Swimming Zone for Tiger Aquatics in Stockton, Ca. During her 20 years of competitive swimming, she qualified for various travel teams, specialized training camps, and swim meets taking her all over the United States.

The summer before college she qualified and swam at the 2004 Olympic trials in the 400 IM. She swam for the University of the Pacific 2004-2008, earning multiple swimmer of the week recognitions a year through the Big West Division I conference. She competed all four years at NCAA in the 200 IM and 400 IM. She finished her swimming career finding herself at the Olympic trials again in 2008 this time in the 200 IM and 400 IM with best times.

She was told by one of her daughters that she can’t teach her how to swim because she’s not a real coach so she’s excited to find herself on the pool deck as a Tiger, and prove to her daughter that she had a life in the pool and an understanding of swimming long before becoming a mom to 3.

Coach Kov

Dive Coach - 2024-Present

Coach Kov is in his first year coaching for the Tigers. He is currently a Division 1 Diver at California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo.
