This course trains students in concepts and principles used in film and video production "from script to screen". The course exposes students to the basics of visual storytelling through the creation of storyboards, script writing, various shot types, camera movements, lighting, audio and techniques of editing. Emphasis is placed on the conceptualization, planning and execution of a film as well as the creative aspects of film production and film analysis. In addition, students will have opportunities to learn the skills necessary for jobs within the industry, such as: director, editor, cinematographer, sound designer, screenwriter and others.
