College Admissions Testing

Some colleges require students to submit SAT or ACT scores with their academic information on college applications.

SLO High counselors recommend that students take the PreACT and the PSAT10 in the 10th grade. Both of these tests are offered at SLOHS annually after the new year. Students should also take the PSAT/NMSQT in the fall of their junior year. It is best to take the SAT and/or ACT in the spring of junior year. Students may take these tests as many times as they like.
