Our Vision for Scholastic Sports in SLCUSD
San Luis Coastal Unified School District is committed to providing educational and extracurricular experiences for all Student Athletes in a positive and safe environment. We endeavor to develop the values of athletics, including sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, and competition. Our athletic programs also support Student Athletes in becoming courageous and creative thinkers, skillful collaborators, and productive contributors in a diverse and rapidly evolving world.
Safe Sports Policy
The Safe Sport Policy defines San Luis Coastal Unified School District’s framework to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all Student Athletes participating in extracurricular athletics. The District is committed to building a community and culture of health, safety, and excellence, where athletes can thrive in sport and in life.
Every student athlete has the right to train, practice and compete safely, regardless of whether they are learning a basic skill or competing in events representing their school. The District remains committed to fostering a culture that actively works to prevent the opportunity for unsafe circumstances to occur. Our Safe Sport Policy provides a blueprint to reach that foundational objective in District sports.
