SLOHS Theatre Company

SLOHS Theatre Company is the highly acclaimed theatre program at San Luis Obispo High School. Formerly known as the Drama Club, we rebranded in 2021 when we merged with SLOHS's two other performance-based clubs, Iambic Pentameter Club and the the Improv Team. As a multi-faceted organization, the Theatre Company provides a wide array of opportunities to SLOHS students, both on and off stage, and with content varying from Shakespeare classics to Broadway musicals to improvisational comedy.

We have been putting on shows since the 1920s, making us the oldest and longest-running theatre program in San Luis Obispo. (The county's oldest community theater didn't open until 1947!) Since the '20s, we've shown more than 150 plays and musicals, plus one-acts, variety shows, improv shows, and sketch comedy nights. Our alumni have been signed to record labels, won Emmys, performed on Saturday Night Live, and attended the nation's most prestigious arts colleges. We're proud to be an established pillar of the Central Coast arts community and to continue offering theatre education and performance opportunities to SLCUSD students.
